joe101 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2009 is there a way of telling definitevely, or is it just a matter of intuition? I guess if you notice crown thinning it's a strong indicator of MPB. Christopher Walken seems to have had the same hairline for years - would you say it's mature, or is he starting to bald?
Pondle 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2009 He could be a Norwood 2 or even a Norwood 3; he's clearly got a receding hairline but the rest of his hair seems to be quite thick. I tend to interpret a mature hairline as a Norwood 2. I don't think that there's a hard-and-fast line between "developing a mature hairline" and "going bald". Some people keep their juvenile hairline throughout life; others develop a mature hairline; most go on to lose more hair, to varying degrees. Whether you could stop the development of a mature hairline by starting treatments early enough is a moot point. http://www.baldingblog.com/2006/10/06/juve...ld-with-photos/
