Uk Transplants

Recommended Posts

Is there anyone out there who can recommend a UK Hair transplant/surgeon/ Surely there must be a decent one in the whole of the country????

I have been looking at 'The H******* *****', dr Rogers, Norton etc

Has anyone on these forums had a decent UK transplant and can recommend a surgeon????

Cheers for any help, it would be greatly appreciated

DO NOT go to any of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trust me!!

You should look beyond geography. To get the best hair transplant in the world which will be totally undetecable you need to look in going to the U.S.

i met with specs and it inspired me to get my hair sorted out. He sees many guys who need restoration work because they went to surgeons in the uk and now they are paying for it in more ways than one.

having work done in the u.s is the way forward and it works out cheaper

good luck but do your research as the uk is not the place to have a hair transplant

i agree with george.

i had my first ht with dr norton in wakefield as i did not want to travel far.

i was left with a double lined messy scar and my head blead for 3 days from the scar.the end result was crap.3 month after my ht dr norton was on the national news being struck off for botched ops while working with transform.

this was about 6 years ago but i have not heard anything good since.

i also went with dhi greece this year .they gave me wrong info about my ht and i personally would not recommend.

as for the H******* ***** i have had info off them and it seems they are quite new to hts and dont have someone who only specialises in hts.a bit of this and that, anyway to take your money.

contact specs off this board and see what he has to say as having a ht is a massive step emotionally,so like myself and many others who have had bad hts do your homework.dont go by pictures on websites, you need to meet people who have had good hts so you can see their results.

hope this helps

Thanks lads thats a big help. I will write off a UK transplant then- no point cutting corners!

I am not sure if I am a candidate for a HT as it is the crown area I am more worried about- a thinning area of about 2*2 inches. I would love this to get sorted out. My hair loss is currently quite stable and I dont want to take proscar (Although I know it is the best solution out there I am put off by the side effects).

I'm more than happy to help - drop me an email and i can attempt to hook up with you and assess your situation. For the record i see a large number of guys who have previously had work done in the U.K and are now seeking restoration work - the Hair transplant industry in the U.K is very limited compared to the U.S where the bar is constantly being pushed to provide perfect results time after time.

I'm doing a consultation in London on the 14/9/05 - if thats of any use to you.

regards

Specs

Right, Dr Rogers is the best we have in the UK they say.

I had a consultation with him in January. Ok, I didn't walk away 100% happy - this was mainly because he told me I would never have Elvis type hair.

The more I thought about it, the more I saw he was just telling the truth. He wasn't trying to lead me up the garden path with false claims about results.

I suggest you at least go and visit him to get the low down yourself.

He's just opened a clinic in London I believe.
