Is Instant Hair Made Of Rayon?

Recommended Posts

I guarantee that John O'Brien will be first to jump in and attack this topic (or because i wrote this will now be twitching to do so).

I am a 2 year user and fan of Nanogen and have been reading this forum for the whole evening (to find out about new developments). I noticed the poster John O'Brien on every page that mentions Nanogen or Toppik who agressively accuses other forum members of working for the company that they compliment on their products. At the same time, John seems to promote the Instant Hair product that is selling on eBay.

As a customer using a product that i personally couldn;t go out without i really got a panic when i read that i could get the same thing half price - so that is why i feel so strongly to warn other members about this poster. And by the way, if you order nanogen in multipacks you can get it for under £15 either direct or from the loads of pharmacies on google.

I want to ask John O'Brien a straight forward question... Is this product also known as Hair Magic? And the product yoiu are recommending made from RAYON and is it therefore synthetic? If so then it is not the same as the hair which is made of Keratin. I bought a one of these products a couple of years ago and only used it once because it was shiny and had a parmesan cheese style dispenser which made it go everywhere. I am going to try and find the old bottle.

So John - what is it? And do you work for Instant Hair or whatever you are calling it?

I use Instant Hair, and find it just the same as both nanogen and toppik fibres, yet it costs less then half the price. Do we care if its Rayon?

me neither - just dont like to see a good forum polluted by people like that John guy who obviously has vested interests. all i know is if this is the same as the hair magic and that is made of rayon i think and it was shiny and didn't go into the hair like nanogen.

and yeah i have checked out ebay and cannot find the generic one

it seems like you may have a vested interest in nanogen or something against john o brien.

i use nanogen, toppik and instant hair when available ,they all do the job just like hairspays

you get different types and quality.

instant hair is cheap enough for people to try and the guy would send a tester foc

anyway where is everyone, you all cant be on holiday

I used to get mine direct from the IH website, although I have heard that it is sold through ebay. Whoever it is selling it seems a decent egg as I asked for two free samples to make sure I got the colour right when I first bought some and two samples arrived as requested as the freebie.

sorry to disappoint bigmac, but i am just an average joe who is happy with the product i get and don't like shill posters like that John bloke using a forum to sell his wares. Anyone who thinks he is being straight in my opinion is being naive. I for one do not buy fake dvds or dodgy software because yes i do actually respect the effort of the inventors involved but most importantly with a product like this, i want top quality. I see no difference with my fibres. i need them - yes need them. they are a lifeline and i cannot afford to see them switch to retail only or something to stop the tide of fakes.

Toppik are good but in my opinion nothing compares with Nanogen for texture and natural look. On price they just sent me a 3 for 2 offer (they do every summer and christmas - nothing to do with my post here!!) and i get 6 per order, so i am getting it at the same price or cheaper than you are buying IH anyway.

I would love it if Bill could email them and see if they want to come and contribute to this thread - maybe they'll even give away a free sample just like IH. In fact - i am going to email them and see what they have to say about these fakes.

hi mate(ihp)

i dont see any problem with ih being mentioned on this forum.

as for being fake,it is not being sold under a branded name ,just an alternative so cant be classed as fake.

as for thie said poster being a shill,i think he is just using this open forum to make people aware of this product.even if he is the manufacturer of this and using this forum to advertise it for free

i would not of heard of it if not for this forum.

if you look at your posts it does seem like you are having a go at him

btw i`m not picking sides or an argument just putting my honest opinion across as i`ve mentioned earlier i use all three concealers and i am happy with all of them.

we will have to wait and see if john can post a reply.

out of curiosity how much do you pay for your nanogen and what size are they

cheers

Hello, there. This is John. I just mentioned something that costs £15 for 27g compared to nanogen's 12.5g for £18 or whatever it is. I mentioned it because the guy was giving away free samples and it is so much cheaper. 'Ihatepropecia' there is no need to be angry at this. If you prefer to use Nanogen and pay those prices that is fine. There is not doubt that the results are superb.

I came on because I have found a much, much cheaper alternative and thought as the

guy was giving it away for free to try so others might benefit. I would be happy for others to benefit from anything that was cheaper if it made them happy., would you IHATEPROPECIA? It doesn't actually affect my life at all if people buy it. Sorry BigMac, I don't actually know what is in it, ask on the website.

Just out of interest why are you so passionate about nanogen IHATEPROPECIA you seem enraged.

Three of us on here have tried it so far and no one has said it is rubbish have they? No one has said it is a waste of money, even though it was free to try. Sorry what is a shill poster?

If anyone wants to try it they can, if not don't. It is that simple. How can you be angry at something that is given away completely free if you are completely neutral Ihatepropecia?

And just to add my 2 pennies' worth I have just bought DermMac, will let you all know how it goes. Anything cheaper and better I am for. I tried Couvre before but I have to be honest one of my friends asked me if I had painted my head , was a bit mortified. Got the Dermac because I really want something waterproof as I go swimming a lot, none of the keratin things stay on when you shower so just looking for an alternative. Who knows. At least it does not need a spray or 'locking mist' or whatever.

All the best John.

hi john,

let me answer your questions.

1. You didn;t "just mention" - see your posts below. You have consistently and repetitively promoted a product which in my experience is a fake (check the sandpapered packaging) and is terrible to use - long itchy fibres. You have also accused several posters from all over the world and the webmaster himself as being spokespeople for nanogen.

2. Actually No, I am NOT happy if people get something for free because it hurts the genuine companies out there who do the research to get us these products. do you not have a job? do you want to get paid £10 per day because that is the wage in china where they specialise in producing cheap low grade, untested, sometimes unsafe products. you can enjoy the living standards that go with a couterfeit/generic economy. Nanogen and Toppik are bound to be coming out with new products but will not invest in excellence if people like you are prepared to support those and promote those who just produce poor imitations. further when loyal customers say how much they like the products, you just come on and accuse them of being spokepeople. how can the good products survive in a marketplace where your tactics are left unchecked. I have nothing against competition but i feel duty bound as a customer of a product that has changed my life to big them up. it is not fair for them to be undermined by someone who just trawls the board and posts freebie adverts.

3. To give context, i work in the software media business and two of my colleague recently (August) got made redundant as the company is losing sales (we make online video streaming codecs) because of the huge amount of non-genuine dvds that are sold in every car park in Britain. Some people i guess have a problem with people parkng in disabled bays, others with people dropping litter in the streets. my bug bear is the disrespect that some people in this country have for the hard work of intellectual property owners. what they do not realise is Britain is a service economy that relies on respect for intellectual property. Why do you think all the best software comes from the USA (eBay, Microsoft, Apple, Google, YouTube, Myspace) because they invest in intellectual property. Yes i do realise Youtube is the biggest rip off of IP anywhere in the planet!! but you know what i mean - as the software platform is brilliant - they cannot help the users posting copyright materials.

4. If nanogen wanted to shill post (you know perfectly well what that means) the board would be full of messages. It is outrageous to accuse anyone who says nanogen is good that they are a spokesperson. What are people like me meant to do?

5. Nanogen costs me £15 as i buy multipack at a time. If i went to autoship i would get free locking mist too.

HERE ARE SOME OF YOUR RECENT POSTS:

Try the Instant Hair that I have mentioned loads of times. Nanogen is incredibly expensive and is virutally the same thing. Ask for a free sample. A few people put posts about it earlier so you can check it out for yourself. Would be interesting to know how you get on with it. Does wonders for me and hardly costs anything! No locking mist! John.

Can you explain why if you don't work for nanogen you seem to be their spokesperson? You are extolling its virtues practically non-stop .If anyone mentions nanogen you reply immediately. Someone said that the spray smelled and you said 'Oh no, I think it smells like coconut, it is lovely.'

Are you just a regular customer? Let others read your posts and decide if they are balanced and from a genuine customer. What kind of discussion board is this? I noticed that when anyone suggests a product they use that isn't nanogen or Toppik it gets thrown off! All take notice my message will be thrown off soon!

(this post is repeated 3 times that i have seen at least)

Mate use that Instant Hair stuff I mentioned ages ago. Is EXACTLY the same as nanogen and Toppik but only costs 9 pounds and you get more, go to eBay and get a free sample.

Try this link everyone if you want to save a fortune, or type in 'hair thickener' on eBay. Also, ask him for a completely free sample before you buy it. Look at his feedback if you have any doubts! I am gonna use this forever, hopefully the price will stay at six quid.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/IH-hair-thickener-10...1QQcmdZViewItem

Ask for the free sample of the IH thickener. I have mentioned it to some others and they seem happy with it. Am so glad I got to use this stuff. It is basically a generic, no frills version of nanogen and toppik but at fraction of the cost. Good luck whatever you end up with but best to try a few. For some nanogen is a fantastic match, for others toppik is great and the prices vary from site to site as well. John O.

I would suggest that you work for Nanogen. You are always talking about them and how amazing they are! When someone said that the spray smelt you said ' I think it is lovely, it smells like coconut!'Other users, check out how many posts this guy has put for nanogen. Is that normal behaviour? Sounds exactly like a spokesperson! (this to an australian user)

Maybe i someone should send this thread to Nanogen and see what they say but i were them i would not even make an offer/promotion on the forum because someone will accuse them of paying for comments or something.

hi mate(ihp)

hi BM

i dont see any problem with ih being mentioned on this forum.

Nor do i if it is done objectively

as for being fake,it is not being sold under a branded name ,just an alternative so cant be classed as fake.

i would agree if the product i received wasnt a refilled jar from another brand that had had the pack screen printing all scratched off with sandpaper and a dodgy computer label stuck over the top. it came in a paper pag and in a jiffy bag. what is in there? are you gonna put that on your scalp for the next fiveyears every day. di you not hear about toxic lead in chinese paint? there is no ingredients list. what dyes did they use?

as for thie said poster being a shill,i think he is just using this open forum to make people aware of this product.even if he is the manufacturer of this and using this forum to advertise it for free

i would not of heard of it if not for this forum.

thats a fair comment. but he could just say. "i am John and I work for IH - here is new product etc." that way he would not be able to duck and dive slagging off anyone who promoted their favourite. There is a reason why advertising and editorial have been separated by law in newspapers for the last 250 years. because customers have a right to be rprotectred from vested interest dressed as independant comment

if you look at your posts it does seem like you are having a go at him

you are right- i was having a go at him - look at his posts - i have detailed them below. i am sick of people taking this community for a ride.

btw i`m not picking sides or an argument just putting my honest opinion across as i`ve mentioned earlier i use all three concealers and i am happy with all of them.

you seemed like a balanced and reasonable person. i have no argument with you and i respect your opinions.

we will have to wait and see if john can post a reply.

out of curiosity how much do you pay for your nanogen and what size are they

no problem i pay £13.75 for a 12.5g jar. (i buy their large multipack which lasts me 6 months) - i bought from multipharmacy.com - and no i do not work for them :-) in fact i find them slower to deliver than the official site but they are cheaper.

cheers
