3200 grafts via strip in one visit using ultra-refined method-about 11 months post op:

BIB had one session performed elsewhere which utilized the old style large minigrafts and micrografts. The problem was that as his hair continued to receede the frontal third became very noticable and unnatural looking.

Because his hairline was placed too low by his first HT doctor we implanted just behind this hairline to give it "back up" and thicken the front third of the scalp in general. In the future we may remove some of his old minigrafts in the front or just drop the hairline. We'll see.

Thanks a lot guys!!

I also hope that these pics help show that the hair style I've been sporting isn't too bad!!

I remember everyone kept telling me they didn't like it, or it wasn't flattering, or whatever.....LOL, but I kept saying if you see it in person you'll like it.

I think these pictures give you a chance to see what it looks like when you are not 3" away from it. Instead the normal distance someone would be.

Can I just say BIB....you look like a different person!!

Just goes to show...hair makes a massive difference! Try explaining that to someone who doesn't suffer from hairloss.....!

It don't matter how goodlooking or what your dress sense is, if you your going bald and can't shve your head (or don't suit a shaved head) then you don't look good!!

I gotta say...you look like a young trendy dude!! Its got me all excited about my forthcoming results!

Looks really good BIB.

How long were these pictures taken after the ones you last posted, as it looks a lot thicker on these ones... is that because of the lighting at the docs studio?

Anyway, the main question mate, are you happy with it, as that's what's most important?

Here are some quotes from Bringitback himself from the other forum he posts on:

"I met with the doctor and he made me feel better. I think part of it is that we are always our own worst critic. I stare at my hair everyday and get obsessed sometimes. I think this meeting helped me realize that most people see what is in these pics rather than what is in the pics I posted.

I usually take super super close up pics with heavy lighting high resolutions. Which seem like a good idea, but who is ever going to be so close to your head to see it like that. I think even someone who isn't thinning would have trouble in those conditions.

I am pretty happy with my results, I am not sure if I am going to get anything else done later. I would always love more density and some more filling in but that could just be the "hair greed" speaking!!! "

"I understand some of your guys concerns considering the lighting due to the difference from the last pics.

Do keep in mind in my previous posts I always tried to take pics in the most harsh conditions. I was always under heavy lighting and very close to the camera. Also using digital macro and very high resolution. (In one of my previous updates I even took a picture of the lights in my bathroom to show they are very bright and about 16" away from my head)

However, I think these pics and the other pics might be kind of extremes. But these pics are closer to what I see in the mirror from a normal distance. And I do believe it is closer to what others probably see too.

I have never had anyone ask if I had work done at this point. Although I know that doesn't mean people have not wondered and just felt it rude to ask.

One thing to make sure to note is the fact that ALL the pics taken below (the before's and after's) were all taken at the docs office with the same camera and same lighting. So the improvement is noticeable.

I guess the only way we will know for sure is by me meeting people from the boards in person. I already have plans to meet with PB soon and in a little bit I will be meeting with RTC. I think those are pretty credible and honest members that can give good feedback. "

" I agree and understand what you mean. That is why we always say here that "we are our own worst critic".

We do stare in the mirror for hours on end and realize every tiny flaw.

I think that is what possessed me to take such extreme pictures before. I thought I was being fair. But really I probably wanted you guys to see the hair through my eyes, rather than the eyes of the average on looker.

And I know for a fact when I compare my older pics to other users on here they are taken in much harsher conditions.

There are real life conditions that are tough too. Pretty much any time in direct sunlight is a pain for ANY transplant in my opinion. I did go to the beach a week ago with no hat though, and didn't receive one weird look. So that made me feel pretty good! "

Hope this helps clarify a few things with regard to BIB's repair case.

PB is actually meeting up with BIB i believe today :) Maybe he could let us know his thought on BIB 's hair in the flesh.

Yep, my wife and I dined with BIB at Subways yesterday and inspected each other's hair. We also went out into the street to check our hair in bright direct sunlight. BIB's hair looked much better in person, and I thought it looked more natural in direct sunlight than in artificial lighting. I think BIB can safely take his cap off and enjoy summer - to the ordinary guy/girl in the street, nobody would notice that he has had anything done. He just needs a sun tan on his forehead ;)

BTW my neck got burned standing outside Subways. Fortunately by crown didn't burn badly enough to prevent the HT - I was worried about it yesterday evening as my crown was red. It was OK by morning though.

I also asked for my wife's opinion on BIB's hair and she thought it looked good and wouldn't have noticed anything had she not been told about it.

PB - LOL. I actually got a bit sunburned on my face too!!

I am hoping to keep the sun on my face and forehead now and eventually develop a tan.

I think if I do that it will make the transplant even more natural looking because there will be less contrast from hair to skin.

Shaft - These pics were taken probably a week and a half after the one's I took. The difference is the lighting and the distance of the pics.

My pics were taken from about 6 inches from my head under super bright light.

Dr. Feller took his under his studio lighting, which was bright, but not 6 inches away. He also stood a little bit back while taking the pictures so you can see how the hair frames my head.

I think this is what allows you guys to see that the hairstyle is really fitting of my face, unlike in my pics which make the style look unflattering.

When I met with PB he felt that my ACTUAL results to a 3rd person appear closer to the Feller pictures than they do mine. So what you see in these pics is closer to what you would see in person. Which is a good thing!!

Hi BiB, the pics look great, amazing improvement! I think its safe to say that you were a little over critical with your high res pics and harsh lighting. I personally avoid harsh lighting at the best of times ;)

Your hairline looks very natural in Dr fellers pics, looks great!

That's good mate, as long as you're happy - I think it looks good, and I've always liked the hairstyle... it's probably what I'm going to go for when I have enough hair :)
