I have. I expect that many of the guys who've had a consultation with Spex have as well. It has saved me a fortune compared to buying Propecia/Avodart from these mail order pharmacies. If you work it out it costs about £8.50 a month compared to £50 from the rip off companies that are preying on us balding guys. It is a bit weird having to break it into fifths instead of just popping the whole tablet but thats a tiny inconvienience. I've not experienced any sides yet either after over 3 months of taking it. The Doc himself has been on it for 10 yrs and Spex for about 5 aswell. I wish I'd started it sooner as it may have saved me needing so much surgery. Is there anything else you want to know?

Has anyone here ordered proscar here in uk from doctor john ashcroft?

Thanks for your reply. Actually i was concerned if this was a genuine doctor, i mean i have to think very carefully befor ei post a cheaque for £120 to someone unknown to me. I did phone him but had line problems but didnt contact again yet, but why is a doctor always available on a mobile phone? and why does he send drugs out normal post and not recorded or special delivery.

Hope you understand my concern.

Yeah I had problems contacting him aswell but when my proscar came he had written a informative letter for me (on headed paper) and also a letter for me to give to my gp (f"^k that!) I am grateful to the bloke. Still its a good idea to be cautious with anything concerning hairloss. Lots of ripp off merchants out there who know people losing their hair are easily exploited.

I can assure you that Dr Ashcroft is 100% legit!!!!

Thanks spex. Yes he may be a genuine doctor but why will he not answer my emails? two in fact.

Also sending £120 worth of drugs buy standard post is not on. What happens if my package goes missing? no refund right? Drugs should always be posted either recorded or special delivery. Anyway i am considering all this and will decide soon.

I do not have the answer to why he hasn't replied to your emails. Why not just call him.

He is 110% legit. I can vouch for him and i know many guys get their Proscar through him.

If you feel it is too much of a risk then why not buy it at another source

I have a batch of Proscar that I'm not going to use because of the sides I had from it. If you are interested, I'll send it to you and you can pay for it after you have received it. It's official Proscar bought from the CVS pharmacy in Great Neck NY with Dr Feller's prescription. I have the prescription as proof. It will otherwise go to waste.

Do mates rates apply? ;)

I think we will be able to come to some agreement  I doubt you will want to pay more for it than you can get it from Dr Ashcroft...

The one thing that concerns me about using broken-up Proscar as opposed to Propecia is the stability of the tablet after breaking it up... are there any issues?

Also, if 5mg of Finasteride (Proscar) inhibits more DHT than 1mg (Propecia), shouldn't we expect better results from a full 5mg? Any studies on this?

There are studies i believe. It shows that you don't need to take more than 1mg as 1mg is as effective as 0.5mg. Therefore no need to take anymore than 1mg.

Don't be scared to use generic makes of Proscar/Propecia, the NHS and your GP's use generics all the time. Make sure you do your research on the company your buying from and save your self a wad. Costs me £50 a year for Fincar (generic Proscar). Spoke to my GP who said generic is fine.
