  1. Just got back from there - could've hooked up if I'd known! Email on its way - thanks spex.
  2. Thanks spex, and once again thanks for all your help!
  3. Hi guys – some of you may remember me from a couple of years ago. I’ve run out of propecia and would like to ask if anybody would be willing to send me some tablets to tide me over until Dr Ashcroft gets mine to me – probably in a couple of weeks. I would of course pay for the tablets or replace them once mine are here. I’ve been working abroad and the trip lasted longer than expected. I’ve been rationing what tablets I had left or a couple of weeks and haven’t had any for the last week. I’m a bit worried about not taking them for that period of time and know that one of you guys could get some to me quickest if you popped them in the post! Many thanks Crabb
  4. Hi guys - a few of you might remember me from almost two years back. I had a transplant with doctor feller 20months ago - the details of which can be seen in an old thread if you search for 'crabb'. Thought I'd post some pictures/results. I think the best way for me to convey how good the results have been for me would be to tell you that this is the first time I've looked at a hairloss forum for over a year! PS - Please see my plea for help in another thread! Pics didn't work - I'll try something else.
  5. Good to see you all there guys, and special thanks to Spex, Pete, Ian and Dr F. See you at the next one!

Keeping it short at the moment, just feels cleaner/healthier while i'm having some problems! I plan to keep it quite short even after it's (hopefully!) grown out.

I realise it could be the minox which is why I'm taking a break from it, it's just surprising as I've used it for over a month with no problems at all. Did you stop using the minox?

Yes I've tried witch hazel, aloe vera etc without any real improvement, thanks for the suggestions though

Hi guys, Firstly I apologise for not keeping you informed of my progress. I've been quite unlucky with the healing process and so avoided the forums etc to try and think about it all as little as possible! I have had quite a lot of redness since my op (oct 4th). In the last 2-3 weeks the redness has faded a fair bit but it's still noticeable enough for a couple of people to comment on! Around the 2 month mark I had a lot of spots/boils in the recipient area - up to 10 at a time. As I understand it these are caused by hairs trying to break through the skin but not yet being strong enough to do so, so they grow under the skin. I may have thicker/tougher than average skin and as a result suffered from this more than most. Now, at just over 3 months I still have the redness but also have a very itchy/flakey scalp in the recepient area. People have also commented on this a few times in the last few days. I have been using rogaine foam, but haven't applied it in the recepient area and haven't any problems with it until the last few weeks. I stopped the foam 3 days ago and will give myself a bit more of a break from it to see if that is what is causing the problem. I think I may have seen the start of some growth but with my very fair hair and irritated scalp it's quite hard to tell. I'll be seeing doctor feller when he is over later this month and hopefully he will be able to put my mind at rest and shed some light on this for me if it's still a problem then. I hope you are all doing well and seeing good results! I hope to make the 28th so I'll see you then!

Spex, no Dr Feller didn't comment on it. Yep still on the propecia. I've actually been using Dr Reddys, although I ordered some real stuff from a well known website yesterday. Regarding the sunlight, I told Feller I would be on hol after about a month and he said just act as if I hadn't had a transplant, but I've seen loads of posts saying stay out sun etc, one is from a Feller patient who says Feller told him to stay out the sun, so now I'm a bit confused!

Hi guys, Just a quick update, In contrast to cs0911 (were both about a month out now, I went a few days before him) I think I've been a bit unlucky with the healing. The staple removal went fine apart from just one staple which had seemed to go in at a funny angle and was painful coming out. My scar looks very similar to cs0911, with a bit of shockloss etc. My recepient area is still quite red. I have some scars which seem to have sort of re-appeared, and the area actually looks a bit worse now than it did about a week ago! It's also quite itchy and I've had some pimples etc, about 4 over the area at any one time. I tried going without a hat on tues and it was commented on straight away. I've got a couple of cover stories so it wasn't the end of the world but it did confirm for me that it's very obvious my head doesn't look normal! Going on holiday on tues and a bit gutted about how I look, but hoping the sea etc will help me heal. On another note, if you look at my pictures above it seems like I'm thinning at the sides above my ears!. Can't really remember what I looked like in these areas a few years ago but I'd appeciate your opinions on it? Spex? I want to keep an eye on these things as my goal now is to try and halt any further loss. Going to try to Rogaine Foam in a couple of weeks.
