  1. Hello, there. This is John. I just mentioned something that costs £15 for 27g compared to nanogen's 12.5g for £18 or whatever it is. I mentioned it because the guy was giving away free samples and it is so much cheaper. 'Ihatepropecia' there is no need to be angry at this. If you prefer to use Nanogen and pay those prices that is fine. There is not doubt that the results are superb. I came on because I have found a much, much cheaper alternative and thought as the guy was giving it away for free to try so others might benefit. I would be happy for others to benefit from anything that was cheaper if it made them happy., would you IHATEPROPECIA? It doesn't actually affect my life at all if people buy it. Sorry BigMac, I don't actually know what is in it, ask on the website. Just out of interest why are you so passionate about nanogen IHATEPROPECIA you seem enraged. Three of us on here have tried it so far and no one has said it is rubbish have they? No one has said it is a waste of money, even though it was free to try. Sorry what is a shill poster? If anyone wants to try it they can, if not don't. It is that simple. How can you be angry at something that is given away completely free if you are completely neutral Ihatepropecia? And just to add my 2 pennies' worth I have just bought DermMac, will let you all know how it goes. Anything cheaper and better I am for. I tried Couvre before but I have to be honest one of my friends asked me if I had painted my head , was a bit mortified. Got the Dermac because I really want something waterproof as I go swimming a lot, none of the keratin things stay on when you shower so just looking for an alternative. Who knows. At least it does not need a spray or 'locking mist' or whatever. All the best John.
  2. No, you will be surprised. They are all fantastic. Pretty much undetectable. Have used mine in all circumstances and no one has ever said anything .I have 100% confidence in them.
  3. Ask for the free sample of the IH thickener. I have mentioned it to some others and they seem happy with it. Am so glad I got to use this stuff. It is basically a generic, no frills version of nanogen and toppik but at fraction of the cost. Good luck whatever you end up with but best to try a few. For some nanogen is a fantastic match, for others toppik is great and the prices vary from site to site as well. John O.
  4. Try the Instant Hair that I have mentioned loads of times. Nanogen is incredibly expensive and is virutally the same thing. Ask for a free sample. A few people put posts about it earlier so you can check it out for yourself. Would be interesting to know how you get on with it. Does wonders for me and hardly costs anything! No locking mist! John.
  5. Mate use that Instant Hair stuff I mentioned ages ago. Is EXACTLY the same as nanogen and Toppik but only costs 9 pounds, go to eBay and get a free sample. Nanogen is great but so is this and it does not cost an arm and a leg! Check out its feedback if you don't believe me and as the sample is free, you don't even pay postage, you've got nothing to lose. Merry Christmas everyone! Sorry, it is now called IH THICKENER I suppose it is an abbreviation? Regards, John.
  6. Mate use that Instant Hair stuff I mentioned ages ago. Is EXACTLY the same as nanogen and Toppik but only costs 9 pounds and you get more, go to eBay and get a free sample. quote name='qwerty' date='Nov 19 2006, 02:38 PM' post='14343'] My hair has finally got to the stage where I am noticably balding, some of it may be shedding from the Proscar that I've been taking for the last month but that could just be wishful thinking. Anyway.. I'm at a crossroads where I either shave it off once and for all or enter the realms of hair concealers and cover ups, I should just shave it off really but part of me thinks that I may get a little more time out of my hair with the right product. I've read many peoples opinions and experiences but still feel undecided as to what would suit me personally as I don't know if my hair is even long enough for a concealer to be effective. I have attached a picture for those of you that have any experience in this area, I would be very grateful for any advice.
  7. That place is an absolute joke! Went there about six years ago and sounds like nothing has changed. A ten pounds 'tricho check.' Then off into a room with a good salesman promising you this and that, trying to pressurize you to buy. All they can sell is minoxidil and propecia, which you can get anywhere really cheap. If you contact me I will tell you where I get both for less than 20 pounds per month. What is 12.5% minoxidil? Haven't even seen this on the Rogain official site and they own the thing! That clinic rakes it in, they advertise everywhere, all they can offer is the stuff you can buy anywhere. If they are so confident ask them to provide you with a guarantee that if YOU are not happy with the results you can get a FULL 100% money back guarantee! Somehow they won't go for it. That place should be closed down! You didn't mention if you spent the money but I seriously hope you didn't. I spent about 700 pounds there six or so years ago. You are welcome to contact me if you want to. Regards, John. I sprayed the crap all over the top of my head and I'm pretty sure it has made my crown worse too. I had a thin crown that had been fairly stable for years - I now have a very obvious bald spot there. Minoxidil is the worst thing I've ever done to my hair It only has a reputation for working because guys who have had HT's find it less embarrassing to say that their improved hair is from using minoxidil than admit that they spent thousands on a HT.
  8. Try this link everyone if you want to save a fortune, or type in 'hair thickener' on eBay. Also, ask him for a completely free sample before you buy it. Look at his feedback if you have any doubts! I am gonna use this forever, hopefully the price will stay at six quid. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/IH-hair-thickener-10...1QQcmdZViewItem
  9. Hello. Do something about it now!!!!!!!!!!! Lost my hair youngish too. There is only minoxidil and propecia, the rest is crap and not proven and a waste of money. There are websites where you can get both for just 15 quid a month, instead of the retail 60 pounds. Also USE a hair thickener. I use a really cheap excellent cosmetic thickener, it's made of keratin the same as hair and makes it look like I have really thick hair, is only 6 quid for six weeks supply. If you want the name let me know and if you ask the site owner he will probably give you a free sample. Let me know. Ok, hope this helped but my main advice is DO SOMETHING RIGHT NOW! Regards, John.
  10. Hate to admit it but I had exactly the same situation as another guy, young and vulnerable and got one. It was called a 'system' but they are all stuck on with some kind of glue, after your head has been shaved= wig! It wasn't uncomfortable but can you imagine having that on your head all day. It got really hot and dirty under there. They all have to be taken off every five weeks or whatever and cleaned, can you maging the dirt, grime and sweat that accumulates under there? Plus how about doing sports with a wig on your head? Ok, 'system.' Also, I have no idea how they claim that they are 'breathable' when they don't let air in and are completely waterproof. No doubt they are good for some people, notably people with no hair at all and are prepared to put up with all the above things. But if you still have thinning hair on your head use minoxidil and propecia, which about everyone knows are the only two things that can really help, and use a cosmetic thickener, which is what I do, with brilliant results. If you want the name contact me, not allowed to mention it on here apparently. Regards, John.
  11. The IH thing I mentioned is just a cosmetic thickener, got some this week and it worked exactly like nanogen. It was nine pounds for a 28g supply, I was using nanogen for four years which is 22 pounds for 12.5g, ( with p+p) so I thought I'd come on here and let people know. In fact the guy let me have a free trial before I bought it, he even posted it free. That is why I was so annoyed when my thing got thrown off, I mean it is so cheap and the person was giving it away, plus it was not a medicine, so I couldn't see the problem. I am not going to keep mentioning it or it will seem like I am a spokesperson! I know that there are many desperate people out there, I am one of them when it comes to hair. That is why I am so passionate here. Well, I've used it all week and no problems, in a month will let you know how it works. It seems to have great feedbacks. I do respect the opinions of people on here but you must admit that some products are 'promoted' over and over and over. It might be a coincidence but they seem to be exactly the same things that sell well on this site. Regards, Stephen. ps-I don't want to create the wrong impression on here I just want to say to people do your research, look around and try the cheaper generic things if they are the same.
  12. Thanks mate. I mean if you can mention nanogen and all the others why can't a different cheaper generic version be mentioned? This is meant to be a free discussion forum. If people can save lots of money that should be the main point. Not whether it is their first visit or whatever.
  13. What rule Mike? I am not here to argue with you at all.
  14. By the way the thing I mentioned was a cosmetic, keratin hair thickener, just like nanogen. Nothing medical or prescriptive about it? Why do you say that Bill? What prescription drug was ever mentioned? Who is your biggest concealour seller Bill? I am really not here to argue but there seems no balance on this board to me. I have nothing against nanogen, it is excellent but it is far too expensive with a so called 'locking mist' you could replace with hairpsray and there are exactly the same things out there. That is my point. Sorry if this has upset your happy board. quote name='johnobrien' date='Jul 15 2006, 02:03 PM' post='9189'] Ok, fine I accept your point about plugging a product, I just mentioned it was so cheap, but fine I accept that. But challenging the guy that keeps going on and on about nanogen and promoting it so blatantly isn't rude in my opinion. That is blatant promoting. How many times has he mentioned the stuff and why is he allowed to keep doing it over and over? The problem I have is people with hair problems not being given choices but being made to stick to rip off products due to people controlling information. Thanks. I am not aiming to uspset or annoy people. quote name='Bill' date='Jul 15 2006, 12:55 PM' post='9187'] johnobrien Your first post on this forum was promoting a product that you say you bought on e-bay, a product I have never heard about ! Nobody gets to come on the forums plugging a product on their first posts. Any product that has link to a site selling perscipition drugs are always removed, illegal. Most of your posts are abusive to other people, that is not the correct way of introducing your self to a forum. If evrything is such a problem for you why are you here ? This is a friendly forum where users do have disagreements but usually they will have posted somethig constructive or informative to the community.
