  1. I started taking generic fin from dr ashcroft at the start of the year, just after having a HT in the front 1/3. For the first couple of months I noticed a huge amount of shedding in the crown area which at 1 point even had me thinking about another HT but with time (6 months now) the hair is thickening back up again to what it was before. Suppose what I am saying is that some people do shed quite badly on meds but if it is down to the meds then you just have to hold your nerve and be patient. One of the best cases I have seen and probably the one that convinced me to start taking fin was a guy on here called Richie (hope he doesn't mind me using him as an example) He has had amazing results from meds and if you read his stuff he says you gotta give it a year Seems like loads of us in the same situ with how to explain things to women. IE nanogen, what are those pills, and in my case at least, I met someone 2 months post HT and had to explain a fresh donor scar!!! I am just 32 and these are girls are in thier 20s that were talking about here but I have found being upfront about it from the start the best way to be. Women don't seem to care (anyone notice how common boob jobs are nowadays) and the most interest I have had is "ooh got any pics". I think as far as this goes we are all our own worst critics!!!
  2. Looks great, are you still taking the meds? And have you thought about starting a Nickleback tribute band ha ha
  3. Hey everyone, its been a while since my last update, had loads going on, (nasty divorce) but the barnett is coming along really well, in fact I'm starting to get the hair greed now and thinking of a second pass. My hairline now is back to where it was when I was a kid but that was always quite high. Anyway, new people that I meet and people that I haven't seen for a couple of years cant tell anything has been done, my girlfriend didn't even believe me until I showed her the pics. I have been keeping it really short till it thickened up which it is starting to do now so these pics are about a months worth of growth from a no 5 on top and a no 1 back and sides. I am actually amazed at the donor area!!! Pics are a bit rough so I apologise and will get some better ones soon. for some reason the 2nd pic wont show as a thumbnail but will show up if you click on it BTW the 3rd pic is a pre HT in case anyone didnt realise

  5. Looks nice and clean, the no1 rule with HT's is research, I scoured these forums for 2/3 years before i actually went for it, and by then had narrowed it to 3/4 surgeons because the same names always crop up. (good and bad) I hate hearing about these stories of people getting ripped off and butchered by people who shouldnt be allowed a butter knife let alone a scalpel. Now for the wait, hang in there cus, you have been to one of the best in the world in his field.
  6. Hey Pete, massive improvement from pre op pics congrats, BTW are you dyeing your hair now and if so any probs? (I seem to have quite a few greys coming through lol)
  7. Spex, PB, Bigmac and Badhair UK, thanks for the replies, I've been reading stuff from you guys and lots of others for a couple of years and it really helped me decide to do this. Still a long way to go but its just good to see something happening so quickly. Probably gonna keep it around a grade 3/4 till it thickens up a bit more, just long enough so the scar isnt obvious because I am suffering with quite a bad shed from meds but got some nanofibres today because of this and will have a play with this stuff and see how it goes.
  8. Looks fucking awesome!!! You obviously took well to the meds, how long till you started to notice the difference the fin was making?
  9. Looks good mate, and with the shitty weather you have a good excuse for wearing a hat. BTW you probably dont want to hear this now but your local nhs drop in centre or the nurse at your gp's would have taken out the stitches for you and saved you a lot of time and pain lol.
  10. looks excellent, totally natural
  11. Forgot to mention, on Spex advice I've been taking MSM since christmas 1000mg twice a day and it is making my hair grow like mad!!! (this stuff is supposed to be good for skin too so it cant do the strip scar any harm) Got it dirt cheap from healthydirect.com but I gather you can get it from any chemist
  12. Hey Irish, looks like this will turn out really nice, Dr Feller did a very similar hairline on me last october and I'm just starting to see it. Grow well mate
  13. I called and made an appointment with the nurse at my local GP's, according to her it's quite common with people having all sorts of surgery abroad then having stitches removed back home.
  14. Thanks badhair, i've followed your posts on here and other forums and if I get anywhere near your result I will be chuffed. Most of the time I feel really good about whats happening but its just the shedding with the fin has come as the htd hair has started to come through
