  1. This discussion has been continued over another thread on another forum. For those interested the link is below. I have no problem answering though if anyone has any questions. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/166319-feller-medical-extremley-careful-paying-over-deposit-9.html
  2. Guys, I am here to share my experience and to warn to be extremely careful paying over a deposit to Feller Medical. They are strictly non refundable and i have been informed mine is not being returned under any circumstances. Although they are now pointing to their website disclaimer which has a non refundable disclaimer on it. At No Point did anyone from Feller Medical make me aware of this prior to me paying my deposit. This includes my interactions with Spex (which there were various) or through speaking to the secretary Marcia who took my deposit over the phone. All of my research on HT's was through the forums so i was obviously not aware of anything like that regarding the deposit. I am now in the situation where i have had to come off finasteride more than bout 8 months ago which you can see from my other posts confirming on this very forum. My loss has now severely progressed and i have buzzed my hair down. So with this along with additional financial constraints, its very apparent to me i am no longer a viable candidate for FUE which is the only surgery i would consider. When i tried to contact Feller Medical regarding retrieving my deposit back (around 5 months ago). After being continually ignored for all this time without a solitary reply and chasing via registered letters , emails , phone calls. I was finally informed last week it would not be returned under any circumstances. I find this beyond belief and a totally unscrupulous way to conduct business to say the least. I am now in the process of lodging an action in a local small claims court in order to try retrieve the funds back amongst other things. My advice to you is to be extremely careful before paying over any deposits to this company and bare the above in mind should your circumstances change.
  3. Guys - Be extremely careful before paying over any deposits to Feller Medical. They are strictly non refundable. This was at no time made clear to me by Spex who i was dealing with or anyone else at Feller medical until i received an email with the confirmation schedule of deposit. It transpired i am now no longer a viable candidate for HT surgery due to serious loss progression. However my deposit is being kept and they are not refunding it under any circumstances. At no time was i even months away from a date. I arranged one date and then several months in advance said i couldn't make it and would be back in touch when i had a suitable date. I never did arrange any new date so it is beyond belief this deposit is being kept. Unfortunately despite trying to show oneself as a shining light of honesty of the HT industry and to expose other questionable practices in the HT industry. They are hard sell and are just like the rest. I will be sharing the whole experience soon.
  4. Caught this picture in todays Daily Mail. Think it shows the closest yet as to Rooneys true 'state' post his hair transplant. Thought people may be interested. Its clear hes been using a lot of concealer.
  5. Cool please do share them. Ive been off Fin since October since the side effects became untenable. Ive just had the results a week or so re all those tests you mention. All are within normal range except my Free Testosterone Level which is 12. Normal range is between 8-27 apparently. Im 32 years of age. In good shape and hit the gym 4/5 times a week. A level of 12 is for someone twice my age or more.! I knew something was up as my libido has not recovered and is nowhere near what it was. Just a general lack of interest/drive compared to a raging one i had. No mechanical issues as such. Its all so subtle though it just creeps up. Needless to stay this has caused serious strife with the missus. Theres no doubt its due to the Fin. Im now in the process of getting an appointment with a specialist to see what can be done. No way will i ever be going back on that junk. My advice to you all is you have been warned. !
  6. Get yourself checked out. Get your hormone levels checked too if you can. I had the Libido issues (no morning wood / weak erections, general disinterest in sex etc) after being on it (with what i thought) was no side effects for a couple years. Im off it now a few months and its only now off it i realise how much of an effect it had on me. Its quite subtle so i didnt notice at the time. Dont think i will be going back on it. Good luck to others who dont seem to have any side effects but not worth these sides or future risk in my book.
  7. Yes Joe. Tried some of them whilst in the midst of the bad side effects. Did not help a lot ! The good news is i am now pretty much back to normal after nearly couple of months off Fin. Have you experienced sexual sides your side or have the effects been related to something else.?
  8. Hi. Just to update on my current Finasteride situation. Experienced the dreaded sexual side effects couple of months back after 3 and a half years on it. No Morning erections, not lasting as long, general disinterest and shockingly low libido. Definitly the Fin im afraid. Been off it a month now and things now clearly recovering and slowly starting to get back to normal in that department . Quite a depressing situation having to stop it as no doubt it had stabilised my hair loss. The side effects were just unacceptable though. (You can see from my earlier posts on this forum i am not a propecia scare monger or anything like that). Im just posting to help other guys out there and giving my legitimite experience of it. I may take a holoday from it for about 3 months and may consider taking it twice a week again or something like that. Still undecided as the stuff nearly wrecked my relationship!! certainly wont be last from what i am reading to stop Finasteride over these problems. :-(
  9. Ps after a ht the new hair should be immune to MPB but you obviously wanna retain all that's around it best you can.
  10. Joe I was looking at saw palmetto and couple of other herbal alternatives. I'm in contact with dr Ashcroft who's been quite helpful. Just to update I've been off the fin for nearly 3 weeks now and it seems like everything is getting back to normal now. Big increase in libido returned. Morning wood etc back. I'm considering taking fin again in the coming weeks twice a week. I'm still bit weary after these recent issues though.
  11. Joe - i think the issue now also concerning me is the lack of research on the long term effects obviously considering this has only been available for hairloss since 1997. Im planning a HT soon and i think i may just take my chances with that and some topicals and hopefully in the next 5-10 years stem cell research or the like comes through. Are you not worried bout the ejaculation pain.? I must say that would put me off. Im not saying yourself but i think a lot of guys out there are convincing themselves that these sides are negligble as they are so attached to the excellent job it does in keeping your hair. I for one am finding them totally unacceptable even if they are (hopefully) temporary.
  12. Hi All, Just thought is share my 2 cents Ive been on Fin for 3 and half years. Have had watery semen since the beginning basically and a big drop in sperm volume. I was 'Ok' with this side as im not currently looking to start a family. I did plenty of research of Fin before getting on it and always thought people were exaggerating and blaming Fin for sexual sides etc which were being caused by something else. However ive now learned the hard way.(Or not hard in this case!) Ive always been probably 'oversexed' but ive experienced in the last month or 2 an alarming drop in libido , disinterest in sex. Lack of 'Morning wood' etc etc. This is an extremley worrying side effect considering the time ive been on the stuff. (i.e not a new user). Ive dropped the stuff completely now as of a week ago. Working out like crazy and keeping everything clean to get my levels and mojo back. This has caused a lot of problems (with the missus not least) who has suspected me off all sorts of stuff ! Its not a nice situation at all. I think new guys getting on this stuff need to think carefully and respect how powerful a drug this really is as the sexual sides and loss of sex drive in my opinion are nowhere near in 2% level like the drug companies say. Looking around the net this issue seems to be rampant. Im just hoping now things go back to normal in couple of weeks and ill then gotta make a decision to go back on a very low dose of fin. Maybe 1mg twice a week. Or maybe try a herbal or topical solution. Im leaning towards giving Fin the boot altogether as this situation has shaken me up big time. Interested to hear any other guys out there who have gone through anything similar and how long it took to get things back to normal.? Cheers B

  14. Got a 6 month supply of this recently. Discontinued after 4 days due to burning of eyes and very irritated scalp. Minox a complete waste of time in my experience unless you can lifetime commit to it which i wouldnt. Was on it three years back also and when i stopped i lost more from what i had before i started.
  15. the reporting on the Rooney HT is farcical. The lack of knowledge in the technique equally so. They will all feign shock when it falls out as per the normal recovery route. Interesting case for sure. Rooney didnt have much left so very interested to see how it pans out. Have to say Nesbitts looks well from the Blackrock clinic. They are seriously expensive though.
  16. Looks like pretty good work. Should be a nice result there. You are in a good position in that you had a solid base to start with not too much loss incurred.
  17. hey Spex - Whats your opinion on their below statement.? In terms of them saying its much more obvious a procedure was done through FUE.? I would have thought surely a strip scar would be the more obvious, These guys are really pushing FUT. Wondering if theres other motives in their statements. Subtlety As the donor area is often larger with FUE, it is much more obvious that you have had a procedure than with URFUT. While FUE may appear, at first glance, less invasive than URFUT, it does have significant disadvantages. T
  18. Yea i know but i had this strange idea that it may have maintained what i had at the time i started taking it, not inducing a severe shed (& i have yet to see any solid evidence of the shed hairs returning) & then maintaining what's left after that Ditto Exact same situation .. Over 2 and a half years on it. For sure it improved the overall condition of my hair and hopefully preventing any further loss but that initial shed in the frontal third never recovered which is unfortunate.
  19. My advice is not to go near Regaine unless you can be sure to commit to it for life. I used it for the guts of a year before stopping due to the sheer messyness of application plus the hinderance it caused me in styling my hair anyway presentable. Suffered an awful shed afterwards in which never grew back. (This is over 2 years ago). Transformed me in to having to use concealer full time. I did not see any noticeable benefits from it either.
  20. Can Vouch for all the above. Been getting it from the Doc last 2 years. Very reliable. Reminds me gotta ring soon for some more!
  21. interesting topic.. I weight train a lot and have read up a fair bit this issue over the years. Specifically on the speculation of how increasing your testosterone levels through weight training/taking supplements thus can lead to hair loss. My conclusion is I think its way too flawed and there is no consistant evidence, looking at all those guys in the bodybuilding world and my gym, (massive steroid abusers) along with all of the other supplements that go with it. Load of these guys have complete full heads of hair. I think if you are predisposed to MPB, it may trigger a slight acceleration in it but even then i think its minimal. Regardless of how much you work out , if your gonna lose hair you will lose hair. I think if your not predisposed to MPB you wont.
  22. interesting article... ! Read it, I do think there is some substance to what he says deeper down perhaps not to the extreme though that he mentions...
  23. Hi there - just wondering if there are any before pics round the forum ? Cheers
