Is it good to go with stronger minox?
They are offering for abou £45-50 a month (ouch) but they say its the only way to help with hairline (temple). Can I get it cheaper? Is 5% ok? Where is cheapest place to get it.

haven't looked around for the 12% stuff yet myself, but I'd say you can get ANYTHING they offer at ********* cheaper somewhere else.

The reason being, those guys charge you not only for their products, but you're also paying their wages - the only funding they get is from their customers. They're a total rip-off! I was offered minoxidil + propecia + laser-comb for ~£90 a month! lol i'm paying £13 a month without the laser-comb.... but what good is some once-a-month, non-proven laser-treatment gona do anyways? If you take my advice, you'll stay away from *********

£13 a month .... that sounds good to me. Where are you getting it from if you don't mind me asking?
Still undesided as weather to start treatments anyway, it's a hard choice and will it work anyway?
Is it working for you?
Have been losing hair very slowly for years just starting to really show now.
I will have a search for 12.5 and let you know if I find any.
Cheers

In brief, i get minoxidil from ebay from a very reliable seller. 5% of the Kirkland brand for ~£5 a month (a year's supply) - works just the same as the original stuff, only it's a little more greasy. I get propecia in the form of proscar (where proscar is 5mg and propecia is 1mg, u jus gotta break the proscar tablet into 5 pieces) for £8 a month, from the GP of 'spex', who's the don-daddy of this forum.

Now you may not feel confident about sending your money to a guy who's details are posted on a forum, but if you go to http://www.gmc-uk.org/, you'll find that Spex's GP really is a registered general practitioner in the UK, and hence can be trusted biggrin.gif

sooo with my trusty calculator.... i worked out that 5+8 = £13 a month ^^ oh, i'm such a mathematical genious dry.gif ! lol

I've just also posted some info on hairlosstalk discussion forum - I'm a ********* patient. Yes they charge more but you get what you pay for. It's like buying a scoda or a mercedes - they will both get you to your destination but one will take much longer and won't be as enjoyable.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is ********* may charge a fair amount (not compared to some companies however - I went to advanced hair and they charged nearly 3 x as much for laser and minoxidil which is known not to be as effective as what I use from *********) but the service and products are the best available.

I use Propecia and Minoxidil 12.5% as my main basis for the treatment 'course'. The full course includes monthly treatments at the centre, shampoo and conditioner, check-ups with the doctors there (tricologists) where I get a picture every time I go so I can monitor the progress. I have to also say that it is a pleasure to go down to the centre - there is a really nice vibe there and although they're always busy they always manage to keep a smile and serve me well. They also have loads of pics (before and afters) on the website -

There was one occasion where one of the consultants seemed a bit rude (probably because they were quite busy) but it was all sorted out with the manager (I'm not sure if she works there anymore anyway).

I got mild side effects with the Propecia when I started as well. If I wouldn't have had them watching over my case or if I would have bought from the internet I probably would have been freaked out and just stopped. But they kept a very close watch and told me to stay on for another week as side effects can wear off if the drug is continued - they did and everything's been fine since.

Anyway, I'd recommend them. Also take a look at this page There's links from newspaper articles about how dodgy on-line pharmacies are - it's all real from uk papers.

Hope this helps you (and anybody wanting to seek treatment).
