Hi guys...

I stopped taking generic dutasteride a few months ago because I was reading so much about its side effects. I had been taking it for around two years and by the end of those two years, about 3 months ago, although nothing major, I felt like I was suffering from the sides too, but couldn't be sure. I've always been on the thin side and whenever I've gone to the gym, quite quicly I've toned and looked athletic with watching what I eat. But recently, no matter what I did, I could not lose a layer of fat all over my body, including my abs, chest and thighs, even if I went to the gym 5 or 6 days a week and follwed a strict diet, controlling my insulin levels. I put this down to age, but in the back of my mind there was always this niggling doubt that change in my body compistion could be caused by the dutas in my system, so I stopped taking it. Since then my body weight has reduced by about a stone, without major exercise, my six pack is showing again and I can see my cheek bones!! It's unbelieveable...the fat has simly melted away. I can also think clearer! I think the drug built up in my system slowly and the sides, too, crept up on me.

My only concern now is maintaining what I have. In the past I always responded well to propecia, wthout the sides. But, I don't want to buy generics. I'm tired of always wandering whether what I have is legit and constantly questioning every minor shed. I would much rather get the propecia on prescription. My doctor won't prescribe, so I was hoping some knew where I could get branded proscar or propecia. All suggestions welcome....

Thanks guys...

Best place I have found is to go via Spex's Doctor Ashcroft, Proscar about £120 for a years supply.

Just one small point.. why bother with a six-pack... I have a keg and its just so easy to maintain.... tongue.gif

I got a years supply from dr ashcroft last week for £100 instead of the £120. It's finasteride 5mg from a uk company as mercks patent has ran out. All ok you think, nothing dodgy? Just a tad concerned as i've read no other posts regarding this.

Hi

I get my Proscar on the NHS from my (very sympathetic ) doctor. I noticed that last time I was given a make I had never heard of (from Boots). They explained that they are simply made by someone else and that there was nothing to worry about. (The script stated Proscar so the Chemist asked me if it mattered that he gave me generic i.e. finasteride- he said that there was NO difference)

Cheers
