Just been browsing the web and looking for treatments that might help regrow frontal hair loss and came across Re-Mox III Lotion. It says it's combination of Minoxidil, Retin- A and Azelaic Acid. It has the right amounts on Retin-A so apparently it won't irritate and 15% minox which must be the highest you can get.

I like the idea of a lotion that I can rub into my temples as I'm wondering how effective the dropper is with Rogaine XS. I always seem to get my hair wet which makes me wonder how much of it is getting to the roots.

I'm contemplating trying a 2-month supply of this - It might be a better than buying the treatments separately. Apparently to get that sort of concentration it would need to be a lotion or a gel.
In practice, has anyone had better results using 15% minox over 5%?

Hi,
I posted a similar question a few months back i.e anyone using 15% after using 5% and seen better results? I don't think anyone responded. I'm still using 5% and applying Azelaic acid 10 mins before, however, the temples are still struggling. I was worried that the 15% might cause too much irritation. I've been using 5% for about 10 years now, Propecia 1 year, the temples are still receeding, albeit very slowly.

Hi, thanks for your reply.
Another product I have found is Xandrox15 which contains 15% minoxidil and 50mg of azelaic acid. I may give it a go after 6 months - it's just a case of biting the bullet and see. It’s been mentioned quite a lot on other forums.

Also loads of sales blurb on how much more effective the absorption is and how quicker drying it is .

Hi

I've been using Xandrox15 for 4 1/2 months - I have found it less irritating than Regaine XS - you need to use this once a day and a 5% solution for the other application. Allegedly it is less irritating as it is made up with glycerin rather than prpylene glycol. However it does leave a much more sticky residue. There certainly appears to be some temporal growth albeit very fine.

Thanks David for the reply. I've just placed an order for Xandrox15, and plan to apply once a day, with 5% minox once a day (like you). Fingers crossed it will stop/further slow the temple loss.

UPDATE: I'm going to stick with Kirkland Minox for the moment. I've been using proscar as well for the last 5 months but still getting a bit of fall out sad.gif. If that stops I'll consider Xandrox15 because then I'll be in a better position to use a more potent solution - I don't want to be wasting my money on a more expensive product even if it does work to then have any new hair fall out because my DHT levels are still to high. It's about £49 but you get 125 ml so 1 bottle should last 4 1/2 months with the 1 application per day.

have you guys tried a product called 'ucapil'? I haven't tried it myself, but it seems really promising - i think it's a topical DHT antagonist unlike propecia, which is systemic. You apply it much like minoxidil. There seems to be a lot of scientific research behind it. Only reason i'm not on it is because i'm a student and can't afford it at the moment - it's around £30 a month sad.gif
