Hi

I m 22 , and have just finished laser therapy treatment for 26 weeks and havent noticed a great deal of difference. I m now being told that it does take longer than this to see some visble regrowth/ thickening of existing hair.

What i would like to know is if anyone can tell me their views on it as in has it worked for anyone?? its going to cost me £1000 big ones and for that money i need to make sure i m making correct decision as it is alot of money for me!!

also should i get onto proscar asap?? i currently just taking nourkrin if anyone s heard of it??

any feedback would be much appreciated!!

Man, laser treatment is a total waste of your time and money. Get on Proscar ASAP and enough already with the laser b****cks.

Hi Snowman and welcome smile.gif
Do yourself a big favour and save your money and buy some fin/pro,it is the only med proven to halt slow MPB,i had 2 years laser treatment with AHS which cost me many many thousands,at the end of it my hairloss was worse mad.gif,i have however been on pro for 4 years now,i have no sides and my hairloss has stopped and i have grown some back, just 2 months ago i switched from pro to dut on advice from Spex, for better results i hope but as for pro its the only thing i have/had been on for the last 4 years i dumped that minox crap mad.gif.if had my time again i would have got straight on pro with no worrys at all.

i have seen nourkin around, but for £40 a month its expensive and the results may not be as good as pro/fin,if you take a look at inhousepharmacy you can get 12 months supply of pro/fin for a little more.

hope this helps all the best TBF

Thank u for your response a great help as i wanted some1 to share their views on laser as in having been through it themselves. I ve got my last appt with AHS tommorow before I WILL be telling them that i have changed my mind and will not be continuing with it. They have offered it cheaper ( still £1000) too much for a 22 yrd old student!! The only thing i would go to them for is to have hair transplant but i refuse to try natural 1st!!

I shall look at getting some propecia in!! where is the best place to get it cheap?? and any topical solutions advised??

thanks again

you can take a look at Spexs web site over on the HT threads his DR can get you proscar which is a 5mg pill cut it into 4 and away you go, i think its about £150 for 15 months supply,i had dut from him some 2 months ago that £300 for 6 months supply, but for you starting out pro/fin will do the job smile.gif, when i was on pro/fin i used inhousepharmacy.com i used there generic version called fincar its a 5mg pill cut it into 4,a years supply was £50 biggrin.gif ,you being a student will be very happy with that.

Topical solutions....its your call Snow,i used reg/minox for over 3 years and i know it made my hairloss worse, posters saf and pb also say the same, then the are others who say it helps/works.my advice is leave topicals and go with pro/fin.

You will have no doubt been told of side effects of pro/fin,this was a scare story that i was tossed when i went to AHS by there salesman,me being a single lad then as i am now was shit scared of not being able to play hide the sausage with the ladies wink.gif,i was told impotence was a dead cert unsure.gif ,yes you can get a drop in sex drive put keep on with the pill and within 2 weeks the body will right its self wink.gif

Last but no means least, never ever ever consider AHS for a HT,if in years to come you think about going down that route, they nothing about HT'S,for more info on HT'S go over to the HT thread you will see some fantastic work by some great surgeons and you will see some work that can only be said is done by butchers mad.gif, the main thing is its all information that educates you and is of help.

all the best TBF

Hi Snowman,

AHS don't offer hair transplants so be warned! What they offer is a 'strand by strand' hair replacement system which amounts to nothing more than a wig glued to your head. From what i've read (and seen), it looks un-natural and you pay several thousand pounds for the privilege of wearing this thing on your head.

If hair transplants is a route you want to pursue, travel is something you may want to consider as the best HT docs live overseas. The only surgeon I would consider in the UK is a guy called Dr Rogers. If you read through the HT section on this site you will read a number of stories of guys who have been butchered by UK surgeons, particularly Norton and the H******* *****.

Consider contacting Spex as he'll point you in the right direction and there are a number of guys with a lot of knowledge in the HT field that post on here should you eventually start looking into getting an HT.

Hopefully, propecia/proscar will stabilise your hair loss in the meantime. Good luck.

I have to agree that you've thrown away good money on the Lazer Bs. Two words John Hartson, he was their celebrity endorser and as you may know he's now bald as a coot. I would also encourage you to see Spex as there is no other guy in the UK who is a better example of someone who's tried everything lazer, hairsystems etc and has learned the hard way before eventually getting a fantastic result. Spex now works as a showcase for Fellermedical but for years before that (and when I met him) he was traveling up and down the country giving his time and valuble advice to people in your situation. You can trust this guy he will know what is best for your situation and wont try to sell you anything also he wont charge you for his time.

Infamous? unsure.gif

Yes, see Spex - it seems to me that he's the only honest hair restoration guy in the UK. Anybody else will either sell you worthless over-priced snake oils or a butchering.
