is this true?can it really make u start losing hair if you are not really losing hair?i started using it hwne i wasnt really thinning out for a few months.then stopped.now all of a sudden im losing hair and in little patches just generalised thinning hair not from the crown or ffrom a receeding hair line.
please some one help answer this!!!

No... although some initial shedding is possible with finasteride before you start seeing any possible benefits from it. Your willy might become permanently wobbly though with finasteride

I used regaine for near 4 years,it was the worst thing i have ever done as it made my hairloss worse,i have seen PB's before regaine use photos and after use photos and the is a big difference,this was the same for me also,my temples were just starting to thin and i used regaine making the hair loss worse it was also used on the crown/back by Advance hair studio's as treament i had with them,it pulled the hair out at the root/bulb making my hair loss worse,my advice for anyone thinking about regaine use is a straight forward no do not touch the stuff.

You do get some shedding on pro/fin but its not as bad as regaine and pro/fin will long term help you hold on to your hair,improve it and can help you grow some back.
i have read of people that can have 2 shedds a year on pro/fin but i think that is rare,i have been on it 3 years now with no problems and have 1 shedd a year lasting upto 3-4 weeks at a time.

i have just started to re use it again
do you think i should stop using it then???

Its your call,how long have you stopped for??the reason i ask is this,the first 12 months i used regaine i had the initial shedd after 2 weeks or so, i then carried on the regaine use, the hair i lost in the shedd never came back ,the didnt seem to be any further hair loss,then after 12 months i stopped for about 5-6 months,hair loss re started so i used regaine once again,but i went through the mother of all shedds and again i never re grew any of this lost hair,i carried on regaine use for a near further 3 years in the hope that i would claw back some of it.
I think with regaine if like me your use is in a area with hair EG not bald your going to do more damage,that said the is lots of posters on boards who have had no problems with it.

yes mate i have been using regaine in a area of not bald as in just thin hair but now noticing small 3 mm bald patches after initial stoppage of it.
so few days ago i started it again.im thinking of stopping now from what you have said really.
im going to buy some prop from the guy spex website the doc from that.
is it worth it.i just have general thinning over the top of my head.no reall bald areas.but i would like to stop the thinning if i can.

If i had my time over again from the start of my hair loss and knowing then what i do now i would never have touched regaine,i would have went straight on the prop/fin.
My advice to you is go with prop/fin,also Nizoral 2% will thicken up you hair and help.if you have never used prop/fin you may get side affects...but stick with it,the body will adjust and all will be good,if you can take some photos now for your own reference and stick with the prop/fin for at least 6 months before you see any improvement,use Nizoral 2 times a week and this should halt your loss and you should see a improvement,but go with the pro .
