New here but lurked a bit on a few forums and decided its time I took the plunge as my hair is definitely receding (no more putting it off). It was hard to work out at first and sure everyone here has kidded themselves it was not happening to them but a developing bald spot and receding hairline is definitely happening now. Already started taking xandrox 15% and wondering what med to combine it with and where to buy. Onto my questions.
Anyway I've been doing my research and obviously finasteride is the drug of choice. My question is whether there is any question of proscar being uneven in its distribution of finasteride so that by cutting it into 1/5's you might not actually be getting even dosing. I believe this is why someone would go with propecia in the first instance despite the extra expense. Is this worth worrying about?
Also, as a stronger drug would Avodart be a better option?
I can't get a precription for this stuff so will need to purchase it on-line. I've lurked at a few forums apart from this, mainly hairlosstalk.com and regrowth.com. It seems that the same old companies come up:

1.Propecia vs Proscar? Is one better?
2.Is Avodart better than either?
3. Best place to buy including a firm not listed would be appreciated (I am looking to spend on branded meds to be sure I get quality product preferably American also).
