Hmmm, are the results of Dut more favourable than Fisnasteride? I'm guessing that the drug must have just about around long enough among hairloss sufferers for decent-ish conclusions to be drawn.
When should you consider moving over from finasteride to Dut?
Apparently, the results are better - after all, Dutasteride inhibits 90%+ DHT compared to c. 66% with Finasteride. But Glaxo never completed Phase III clinical trials for Dut's effectiveness as an anti-hairloss drug, so we don't have wholly reliable data.
Nevertheless the preliminary Phase II trial results do look encouraging -
http://www.dutasteride.org/dutasteride/dut...ide_results.htmYou should only consider Dutasteride if you're not a responder to Finasteride (give the latter a good 12 months before you come to that conclusion). Dut inhibits much more DHT and stays in your system much longer, therefore you should be wary of side effects and other unknown potential unwanted consequences of long term use.
