Did this woman really benefit from LLLT? If so, why won't the doctor who presented it show the areas that were treated instead of covering over it with surounding hair?

Interesting. I know that the makers of the Hair Max laser comb have been touting its status as "FDA [US drug regulator] approved", but apparently this kind of 'approval' doesn't have to relate to any proof of clinical effectiveness? Weird.

You see an awful lot of so-called 'photographic evidence' for various hair loss 'treatments' on the web, but if the 'before & after' photos aren't taken at the same angle, in exactly the same light conditions, with the same camera and processing (and if the subject doesn't have the same hairstyle) they need to be viewed with a healthy dose of scepticism. There's an article by Marty Sawaya on the HLT site where she talks about the challenges finding the right methods and technology for proving real hair growth.
