The FAQ page on that site list's GrowthX's ingredients. We can use the ingredient dictionaries on cosmeticscop.com and cosmeticsinfo.org to work out what they are and what they do. So...

Aqua - water
Paraffinum liquidum - mineral oil, a "clear, odorless oil derived from petroleum that is widely used in cosmetics... known to be efficacious in wound healing, and [..] also among the most effective moisturizing ingredients"
Glyceryl stearate - "used as an emollient and thickening agent in cosmetics"
Stearic acid - "fatty acid used as an emollient and as an agent to help keep other ingredients intact in a formulation"
Cetearyl alcohol - "fatty alcohol used as an emollient, emulsifier, thickener, and carrying agent for other ingredients"
Glycerin - "a humectant... glycerin and humectants in general are always combined with other ingredients to soften skin"
Triethanolamine - "used in cosmetics as a pH balancer"
Parfum - fragrance
Carbomer - "thickening agents used primarily to create gel-like formulations"
Tocopherol Acetate - vitamin E
Retinyl Palmitate - vitamin A
Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone - fragrance ingredient
Benzyl Benzoate - fragrance ingredient and solvent
Benzyl Salicylate - fragrance ingredient and UV light absorber
Citronellol - fragrance ingredient
Linalool - fragrance ingredient
2-(4-tert-Butylbenzyl)propionaldehyde - I think that this is a fragrance ingredient also called Butylphenyl Methylpropional
Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde - some kind of masking ingredient (fragrance?)
Phenoyethanol - preservative
Everything ending in -'paraben' is also a preservative.

So, in conclusion, I can't see any active ingredients at all!

Trading standards dont investigate hairloss snake oils, they're under the same catagory as Psychic hotline and miracle wrinkle cures. ie only an idiot would expect them to actualy work.
