The 2% Nizoral version is normally behind the prescriptions counter at Boots, so you have to ask for it.
The 1% Nizorelle version, can normally be bought off the shelf.. |

here is a link to the one i got http://www.boots.com/shop/product_enlarge....r=000&imageid=1 but mine was 60ml. they had the 100ml behind counter. is the 60ml the 2%? just seen the above brand on ebay and it says 1% boots own was on the shelves and showed 2% on the box |

Hmmm. I'm a bit confused too. I just went to Boots today and bought 'Nizorelle' (a silver packet - 100ml).
I didn't realise there were different strengths - the one I bought doesn't have a percentage on it, it just lists Ketoconazole as one of the ingredients Next time I'm there I'll have a look behind the counter |

in our local boots nizorelle is near the normal everyday shampoos nizoral is with the medicated medicinal shampoos. presumably nizoral is stronger then - does that mean it may be more effective against MPB? yep, nizoral is 2%, nizorelle 1%. the 2% version most people say is more effective (also backed up by studies - do a search on this forum) cheers |
