I've been using DermMatch and although its effective, its pretty messy. You have to add water to it and then massage it on to the scalp. This takes a while and blacky water does run down your neck and get on your clothes. It also takes a lot of shampooing to remove it from your hair.

Therefore can someone recommend something quicker and cleaner to use than products like DermMatch. Does Toppik really take 30 secs to apply? :D How does Nanogen compare?

hi bal
i use toppik and find it is really good.
there is no mixing, you just shake it above area,
the flakes fall out and you gently pat it down.
its a bit like shaking a pepper pot .
it takes my bird about 20 secs and its done.
its much easier if you have someone else to apply it.

I've just bought some Nanogen fibres, and they seem pretty good. Probably good have picked a better colour match, but the fibres certainly do what they say on the tin!

Thanks for the info bigmac and stan. One final thing, does the Toppik and Nanogen come off alright after one shower? Do you use a locking mist (or hair spray) after application or can you make do without?

Ideally, I would like to not bother with the stuff.. but my hair is not thick enough yet so if I didn't use a concealer, I would definitely get "he's balding" stares :)

toppik washes straight out with one wash(shampoo)
there is a spray you can buy from toppik which probably
makes it slightly waterproof, bit like hairspray.
